There are many boats which take you around the lake and then onto crescent island. There are hippos by the coast and the ride on the lake was very pleasant.

It as great to find flamingos here after missing them at Lake Nakuru. Its a very easy to access lake, ts not must to have a 4x4 vehicle.

Small lake with lots of bird life. Boat trip arranged as a community project. Pelicans hunting in groups is an amazing site

The watching of the hippos grazing together at close range is really amazing. It is a place worth a weekend out

Watched hippos grazing from only a few metres away with nothing but a wire fence between us. An amazing experience.
