The palace has is another important historical monument and a pride to all indigenes of Kano. It reveals the interpolaton of both traditional architecture and modern architecture though in tune with culture of the kano people. It is almost opposite the Kano Museum and prides itself with decorated in typical African motifs meeting halls, visitors halls, Emirate council halls, residence... More

A modern palace which nevertheless maintains its historical and traditional heritage and texture. During the Sallah period visitors travel to Kano to witness the spectacular Hawan Daushe and others in which the Emir participates fully alongside key members of his Council. Luckily, as a volunteer with USAid I was able to have an audience with the Emir. No one speaks to the Emir directly and many of his sons were there as well. It was a luxurious event.
