To find oneself we need to read... More

I came across this memorial on my run through the town. Well maintained and informative. Probably no need to get out the car to read this one.

Having visited this place during our heritage month in south africa. It was refreshing to understand how this memorial place came about. definitely a good place to visit with friendly and professional guided tours. This os but one other reason why Graaff Reinit is really an awesome destination

On the corner of Donkin and Somerset streets, is quite an impressive monument to the Boers from Graaff Reinet who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the Anglo-Boer War. The tip of the erf facing the corner of these two streets has been fenced off and the statue erected in the triangular space, but it still looks like its part of... More

Everything is great. So many people died during this war and it should never be forgotten. War is a waste of human lives

How South Africans ever recovered from the attempt to wipe them out depicted historically in this museum is a miracle to have recovered to a country in the first world.

The marble monument was erected in the memory of the fallen in the war for freedom, The Anglo Boer War, of 1899 to 1902. On the sides are bible scriptures in Dutch and the... More
