Our children cannot seem to get enough of the museum. The highlight is the ability to board the replica ship. The ideal photo opportunity. Afterwards we enjoy a meal at the harbour.

We arrived midafternoon and did not have a lot of time to see this museum but it was worth a look. I can't imagine being a sailor or even the captain in the ship that is on display. Very brave to leave terra firma.

I took a trip to the museum in June as I love sailing and Mossel Bay is the place where this pioneer Bartolomeu Dias landed. It’s just amazing to see what they managed to accomplish with wooden ships. There is a marine museum as well...More

History repeats itself when one walks through this well kept garden. The museum is informative. Lots of foreigh visitors were around to gape at the ship in the middle of the museum.

The old ship you can enter is attractive also for children. Beautiful garden with great view to the sea.

On entry you get the option to pay more to get onto the boat. This should not be missed as it is the star attraction. The rest of the exhibition is amateurish.
