This museum is well worth a visit when in town. Some lovely natural history artefacts as well as the famed Post Office Tree. A great way to spend a few hours. Kids loved it and entry was cheap.

Our children cannot seem to get enough of the museum. The highlight is the ability to board the replica ship. The ideal photo opportunity. Afterwards we enjoy a meal at the harbour.

We arrived midafternoon and did not have a lot of time to see this museum but it was worth a look. I can't imagine being a sailor or even the captain in the ship that is on display. Very brave to leave terra firma.

You get several things for the price of one here. The highlight must be the full scale 15th century replica ship with some really interesting and informative interpretation panels about various aspects of life back then and the progressive discovery of Africa by Europeans. There...More

History repeats itself when one walks through this well kept garden. The museum is informative. Lots of foreigh visitors were around to gape at the ship in the middle of the museum.
