The caldera defies expectations with its sheer size. Huge, and filled with animals, birds, and other sights that draws one to east Africa.

Again the eTrip Africa guide David made this a very informative visit. The crater floor had plenty of wildlife and David did a great job of managing the other cars to find his own sightings away from the others.

We were lucky to see a large amount of wildlife in this area & mating animals. A very picturesque area to visit with open plains & waterholes. We were no sooner into the park area that we came across a large pride of 17 lions...More

The Ngorongoro Crater is a must see destination! I loved it so much I will definitely go back whenever I return to Tanzania. I also visited central Serengeti and Tarangire, so I can reasonably compare the experiences.

We started with the crater before visiting the Serengeti - it was fantastic, with animals left right and centre. Huge variety, and it was the only place we saw rhinos. Only need to spend 1 day.

The crater was our final stop of the safari and we were fortunate to see a rhino, in addition to many other animals and the beautiful terrain. After being in solidarity in the large Serengeti park, I wasn't sure about the crater, but am very...More

This place is amazing and provides a great opportunity to see the animals of Tanzania up close and personal. You see how they live together, you see the circle of life and you maybe even catch sight of a rhino.

We spent 7 days on safaris in Tanzania. While I was looking forward to the wildlife at the Ngorongora crater I was a little underwhelmed when compared to the other parks we had been in. Tarangeri and the Serengeti seemed to offer more animals than...More

Awesome place. Simply put, it is paradise as in the Booklets of the religious group that goes door by door. But the animals eat each other from time to time. So many animals, all of them I think and of course the Black Rhino.

If you came to Africa to see wildlife this is a must see location but the scenery is also beautiful. Standing at the top of the crater and watching the sun go down is magical.

Sorry for the delayed answer. Do NOT miss Ngorongoro Crater! You will absolutely love it. We saw a female lion drag a zebra (after kill) 1/4 mile from open prairie to a shaded area. We saw so many animals and it is just... More

October is more likely to have rain than September, we had a few minor showers over the ten days in early September. At night we had one or two thunder/heavy rain showers but each day had plenty of sunshine & was very warm... More
