It is great areas where every one can experience the uniqueness of its nature sorrounded with Masai community living within and I recommend to every one to visit with Masengota safaris to experience it.
The crater is a very unique place. It can be visited in about half a day and the overall experience is wonderful. We visited the crater leaving our lodge early morning to have the sunrise and get back before having too much dust. Lots of animals, easy to find and observe. The hyenas are quite unique there. We were lucky... More
If you only do one safari day in your life it should be the Ngorongoro Crater. A complete eco-system with all the African animals. Sometimes called the eighth wonder of the world. Do it!
Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacular geographical location and certainly worth a visit but I was a little disappointed at the wildlife. This could largely be because we had been so spoilt by seeing the Migration in the serengetti and Mara. I might be being overly picky as it is still a great destination with plenty to see.
We went on a 12-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania, and included this park. Because we had seen a lot of animals already, we were not easily impressed, but the big herds of zebras and buffalos were really cool. Fabulous week on Safari visiting the Serengetti and the NgoroNgoro Crater--saw everything including the Big 5
Getting down into the Ngorongoro Crater is an amazing experience. The roads are extremely rough, requiring a four-wheel drive off-road vehicle. The ride from the top of the rim to the level bottom takes about 45-60 minutes. However, once you arrive, you are in one of the premium locations to see all of the great African wildlife. It stretched for... More
This was my sixth visit to Ngorongoro and I am thrilled every time to the point of ecstasy. We stayed at Ngorongoro Farm House whilst visiting the crater. Luckily our very helpful driver queued up at 5 am to get the tickets so when we arrived just after 9 am we did not have any wait! The usual time queuing... More
Is November a good time to visit the crater, and would that time coincide with the wildebeest migration sightings in Tanzania?
we are planning to go visit Tanzania in early and i have 2 questions:
1- is it possible to base ourselves in only one place be it seronera or serengeti and drive to go serengeti national park and to ngorongoro crater?
2- is the sunrise or sunset at the crater a must? i have been seeing many comments talking about and i would like to make sure i am not missing on it
Hi, I am planning a one day safari into the ngorongoro crater. The safari company is asking me to pay a large deposit (400$) in order to arrange the Park fees in advance. Is that possible ? How does the transaction usually go (money transfer? Cash payment?). Thanks for your help. Guinevere
