I was here just after sunset when the variegated colors of the sky in pinks and pastels glistened off the gold. So lovely, so peaceful

Unfortunately you cannot longer climb the pagoda to see the sunrise or sundown, what made it famous. Nevertheless worth a visit!

The white tall spire dome can be seen from far and is rather impressive. The compound is big and walking barefoot can be a bit of discomfort. The reclining buddha is the main thing to see here. You cannot climb to the top now.

This pyramid style pagoda is quite large but very graceful. It's used by lot of people to see the sunset from the top.

This pagoda was beautiful with the crowds there by 6am to watch the sunrise and balloons over Bagan. There were sellers there selling post cards, sand paintings and other souvenirs with young children also trying to sell their hand drawn pictures. Although the crowd can...More

Our tour group visited many temples while visiting Bagan. Each temple is beautiful and different in each way. Over 2,400 temples in Old Bagan. A must see.
