A lovely place to sit in the shade, take in the glory of the monument and observe the burmese go about their worship rituals. There's a lot to see in the temple as it is by itself very pretty

This was the first temple I visited as it was walking distance from my accommodation. Unfortunately it was thief day festival and this place was packed with people. The temple is quite close from Nyaung OO town, It just 5 minutes with E-bike. the temple is amazing and many local people comes to pray. you can see many Buddha statues and normal attribute for buddism religion. We were on the electric bikes exploring the area and saw the Monastery and stopped to visit. The first thing, when you arrive you're called by a few vendors who try to tell you that you have to come their way to enter, which is not true. They are quite insisting, following you with their postcards, or scarves or anything... More

Magical, authentic, a must to visit. Went there with a guide which was interesting but best is just to go and hang there of a while soaking up the peace and tranquility.

Be sure to cover this temple early as the crowds will mass. From a photography perspective, the gold reflects quite a bit after 10am.

Me and friends weren't expect too much for this temple.But after see this temple we loved so much here. Around the temple have many tiny shops. They sell traditional Burmese art crafts and the one you can miss is Po-corn.

An impressive building covered in gold leaf, looks spectacular in the early morning sun. Has a tourist shop at the entrance so its a popular place to visit but you don't get hassled by the young people trying to make a living.
