Easily seen on a clear day from the airport. unfortunately the 2 times we could have seen the peak were both rainy days so we could only see the bottom and middle of the iconic volcano with an almost perfect cone.

I love bicol so much I am going to retire there. I love the views of Mayon volcano from wherever you are. The whole city glows in the shadows of Mayon. I have been there 3 times so far and I am planning another trip. Make sure you get a guide and rent a van to go up the backside... More

I am a bicolano so obviously been to Mayon countless times... But despite that it never seizes me to appreciate how great this natural wonder is... Mayon will remain the best of bicol...

We hired ATV's to ride up to the foot of Mayon Volcano, the so called "Green lava trail" and we absolutely loved it! You will cross many rivers and rough terrain while your guide makes pictures and video's of you with Mayon volcano in the background. We rented at Bicol Aventure ATV after taking a jeepney in the direction of... More

On the road to Albay, we saw Mayon but some clouds are blocking its cone. There is no picture that can translate the feeling of seeing this almost-perfect-coned Volcano. It's just so majestic. I can't find the words to really describe how I felt looking at it for the first time. It's a must see.

You can see the volcano almost anywhere in Albay's open space. It was cloudy when we went there so we could not see the full majesty of the volcano, but it was still a sight!

We arranged with a guide in legazpi to climb Mayon. I asked him how high we would go. He said 1500. Thinking he meant 1500 metres. We decided to do a 2-day one-night climb. We asked how long we would climb the 1st day etc. He was evasive but I ignored the signs. We paid 7000 pesos for the 3... More

Perfect cone as always! It's not enough to look at it from afar, experience it up close. Take the ATV up to the summit though a bit pricey. We took the 2nd best at 3, 500 which will take you to the Lava Wall. Breathtaking view of Legaspi and Mayon, so beautiful. Thrilling experience taking the zipline going back to... More
