Worth a stop for a look

We explored the decommissioned war ship and found it interesting. This ship is being allowed to rot away. Very strange, maybe there's no money to spend on upkeep. The North Korean... read more

Great opportunity to go inside a real North Korean sub, apparently there was 25 North Korean soldiers in there when it was discovered in south korean waters in 1996. I don't know where they would fit 5, not to mention 25!

Leave the civilian line and embark on a journey in the Militarized Zone. In your own car experience the 6 lane highways built for 1 reason And it is not tourist traffic! Stand just 2.8 kilometers from the North and spend 50cents looking through powerful binoculars at the neigbours. You can see the troops hiding in the mountains. Unlike Seoul... More

Had an enjoyable visit and agree with previous reviews, Used the local bus from Gangneung that run hourly. Very little English so it was a rather quick tour over the site for us. It is somewhat isolated from the pavilion and outdoor exhibition area. OK if you have your own transport.Needs some sort of shuttle between the two sites {even... More

We explored the decommissioned war ship and found it interesting. This ship is being allowed to rot away. Very strange, maybe there's no money to spend on upkeep. The North Korean sub that sits near it is going the same route. Very interesting touring through the small sub, but it could use some care. When we visited there were very... More

In 1996 North Korea sent a submarine to this part of South Korea to put onshore North Korean military personnel but where caught and and the ship was sunk. Later they raised the sub from the sea and put it on land to make this park to remember what happened. There is also a South Korean Naval Ship in the... More

Second morning stopover after lunch visiting the East Sea's Rail Station for our 22 persons group bus tour around SK, this was promoted as a major landmark for warship, submarine and history. Perhaps we're pressed for time, our guide did not tell us about the display for warplanes & tanks up the hill, as that would've completed the story of... More

This place was a lot of fun for the family! Our preschooler loved climbing in the tanks, airplane, ship, and submarines. Very interactive in that regard. The park was practically empty, which was fine with us. It's broken into three parts - one up the hill, with tanks and a small museum. The second down the hill, with airplanes, including... More

This park is in 2 parts. First we came to a park full of planes and wondered where the ship and sub was, but we looked at the map and realised it was just down the road. We were able to use the same W3000 ticket for both areas. The "plane" park was up a hill and a nice qiuet... More

We enjoyed walking through a North Korean submarine and a wooden boat that North Koreans used to escape . There is a decommissioned Naval ship to walk through as well. There is a offer shop on board and a small gift shop. Nice views of the sea, beautiful clear emerald green water.

Go to the South of Anin Beach in Google Maps and drive along the road closest to the coast going from North to South. Trip Advisor does not allow me to post the city where the actual location is located and I am unable to add the location either (probably because of the language conversion). The road you want to...
