It was something fun to do after dinner. Great place to people watch, listen to marimba music and observe all of the couples dancing. The park was filled with famlies strolling the park.

Lugar agradable para pasar la tarde: música de marimba, gente bailando, vendedores de comida y artesanía. Nice place to spend the evening: “marimba” music, people dancing, snacks and typical crafts.

It’s exactly what you’d expect - marimba orquesta playing, lots of people dancing, even more just listening, tons of food carts around. A great way to spend an evening!

It’s a typical charming Mexican square from the afternoon onwards. Locals arrive and hang out, chat, flitter among different groups and the sounds of live marimba music playing in the kiosk.

If you are staying in Tuxtla upon your arrival...pass by the plaza de la marimba before you take dinner, an option could be pinchanchas, not for the food but for the dances and decorations.
