Perhaps the best mainland beach other than Princess Cave
One of Krabi province's hidden gems. Just 20 minutes drive or so from Ao Nang but a different World entirely. Great place to stay in a quiet and clean beach area but stlll have all the restaurants of Ao Nang within easy reach.

    Beautiful uncrowded beach
We enjoyed 9 days of this beach in November 2023 during our stay at the Dusit Thani Hotel. Cleaned every day, a few hundred meters long, few people so nice and quiet. The water is beautiful, warm, but very tidal. Swimming is more difficult on the west side, opposite the Sofitel. However, many beach restaurants are to be discovered. South side, easier to swim but you have to be careful of coral debris that are numerous.

    Klong Muang Beach
Beautiful sandy beach that deserves to be better included in the list of the best beaches of AO NANG. the beach is uncrowded because off-center to the west of AO NANG, it is very clean, only two resorts and shaded places along the beach to protect from the sun. Several very affordable beach restaurants.

Ban Klong Muang is a great place to stay. It was very quiet and relaxing when we were there. Most hotels are just off the main road, which runs through Klong Muang, very close to the beach. There are great little restaurants everywhere and a 7-11 just down the road for all your essentials. Ao Nang is about 15 minutes away. A taxi is about 450-500 baht and 350-450 for a tuk tuk. Most tours will pick you up and drop you back from your accommodation. There are long boats near the Nakamanda that will take you out to the islands. It's brilliant.

Although not as well known or visited as the beaches at Ao Nang or Nopparathara, Khlong Muang beach is certainly worth taking the time to visit. It's much quieter and ideal for all types of visitors with plenty of opportunities to stretch the legs and breathe in the sea air.
The views from the beach of several of the off shore islands are very picturesque even on a relatively dull day.
There are opportunities to eat and/or drink and what better way to spend time relaxing than by sitting in a beachfront cafe.
Well worth visiting.

The beach is away from the city and not very famous which makes it free from the crowds. It is a clean and beautiful beach and you could have it almost to yourself at times. There are some bars and restaurants on the beach and it is home to luxury resorts like the Sofitel and Dusit Thani. It is best if you are staying at a resort close to the beach since a trip from the city to the beach may not be worth it.

The beach is located in front of Sofitel Krabi, separated by a road. It’s less crowded here compared to Ao Nang Beach. Water sports are available by private operator.

Beach chairs (w/out umbrella) and towels are provided to hotel guests. No lifeguard at both the beach and hotel pools.

Breathtaking sunset, come before 6:30pm if you need a photo, sunset time as of end January 2020.

The bars to the right of Beyond Resort and past The Nakamanda serve the nicest Thai food you can imagine. Don’t be lured by thinking the hotels are any better because they’re not. The beach itself is clean and the sea beautifully warm. Food is very reasonable. One of the best eating bars is the Sunset, good food and very reasonably priced.

while in the morning, the beach is nice, quiet and shady, in the afternoon it gets hot here with little shadow. for some reasons, the Thai government banned umbrellas... so there is no umbrella, even if there are sunbeds. silly, isn't it? for the sunset, the beach gets crowded, as it really is a nice place to look the sunset.

I walked along here every morning for the two weeks we were here. So much to see with all the boats 🚤, rock pools when the tide is out. Overhanging trees giving shade for sun bathers it has everything for a day or longer if you are staying here.

This beach is a beautiful beach. It is peaceful and clean. The best way to appreciate this beach is by using one of the resorts placed beside it. There is little shade otherwise. There are cornered off sections to guide you for swimming as there may be a few long tail boats parked a long side to offer you rides to other beaches and islands. None of which bother you too much and wait for custom. When the tide is low you'll see many rocks but this isn't often. It's a beautiful beach and worth the walk to each end.

We Stayed at the Dusit Thani Hotel at Khlong Muang beach for a week in February and found the whole experience wondefrul. We found the sea lovely to swim in with crystal clear water and we had many wonderful walks along the beach both to the Right and to the Left of the resort. I would definately recommend this location for a vacation it is magical.

If you want to get away from the crowded beach in Ao Nang area, this beach is a great alternative. Not crowded and a lovely beach. Relaxing atmosphere with small restaurants and bars. You will experience local fishermen on beach with the daily catch. If you don’t have your own transportation you can take tuk-tuk from Ao nang Sentrum. Price 6-700 bath round trip. Absolutely worth the price.
