This is a vey beautiful place to go hiking. There are several different trails each with varying degrees of difficulty. I recommend spring or fall though as it can get pretty hot in the summer and fairly cold in winter.

Petit Jean has it all. There are plenty of hiking trails to keep you busy. I enjoyed renting a kayak at the lake. There is a pool and plenty of campsites near facilities.

We hiked to the waterfall and it was so worth it. Such a beautiful sight. The hike was a little tiring but we enjoyed it. We'll be back!

The main bad weather attraction other than simply hanging out at the lodge, would be to tour the antique car museum on the east side of the mountain. Most everything else is an outdoor activity in one form or another. jrs
