We booked a tour with Allison of Isle of reef tours while on our honeymoon in Grenada. Took a puddle jumper flight over to carriacou. We were picked up by a gentleman who took us to a look out point for some pics. Then on to the beach to wait for the boat. It’s a bare bones tour in that it is a smaller boat with a canopy shade - there is no ladder to get you in the boat but the gents are well versed and we had no issues. We rode out to the Tobago Cays and our first stop was to see the turtles! Lots of turtles, some good sized rays and a few puffer fish. There was only us and another couple on the boat and they let us stay as long as we wanted. From there we went to a reef close by and saw lots of fish and a nurse shark. Our stop for lunch was fantastic! Fish, chicken, veggies, potatoes and rice. They had beer, rum punch ( that definitely packed a punch!) and water. Lunch was delicious. There were humongous puffer fish right at the waters edge, a couple huge rays and some baby lemon sharks as well as juvenile reef sharks. We spent a couple hours here with lunch and relaxing. On the way back we stopped at happy island - a bar on a tiny island!
Mojo was a great captain for the day. Never felt rushed. Not over crowded as some tours can be.
Highly recommend.

Unbelievable BBQ

What an amazing meal! We were anchored adjacent to Sandy Island. I was a little skeptical about getting a good meal there after the Isle of Reefs guys pulled up to the catamaran, but I'm really glad I went! The BBQ was incredible. Huge snapper filet seasoned and grilled to perfection. Ribs were killer. Tons of sides, way more than we could finish -- potatoes, plantains, salad, pasta salad, etc. I would be looking forward to eating there again! Bring bug spray in August. The mosquitos weren't terrible, but it was nice to have the spray.

We highly recommend them. The staff are very friendly and give a highly quality service by offering delicious food, bar and transportation to Sandy Island or Tobago Cays including snorkeling gears and cool bag with beverage. We will come back to Carriacou with our family and for sure will not miss this place.

Best part of my Grenada holiday!!

Late review from July holiday. First, I was picked up at my hotel and transported to the airport where I took a 20-minute flight from the mainland to BEAUTIFUL island of Carriacou. Allison, one of the best hosts/guides ever, picked us up and took care of us all day!! She provided a wonderful tour of the island and then off on our little dingy boat over to Sandy Island, which was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! After a couple hours on Sandy Island, back across to Paradise Beach, also AMAZING, for a FANTASTIC lunch spread. I was not a fan of the crab back (wasn't what I expected and will have to try again), but everything else (especially the potatoes and the ribs) was PHENOMENAL!!!

I felt awful that I forgot to tip Allison (I was rushing to get out of the truck because she had to go and I was grabbing my stuff), but when I return, I'll see her again for sure!!!

Trip to Tobago Cays

My husband and I were staying at Sandels in Grenada. We did a day trip over to Carriacou (20 minute flight). The flight over was gorgeous seeing the islands. We then used isle of reef tours to take us to Tobago Cays. Allyson and her team were amazing! They picked us up from the airport and took us to the boat. We then had about a 45 min ride over to Tobago cay. We snorkeled with sea turtles then went over to another island for lunch. Lunch was delicious then we were able to snorkel from that beach as well where we had stingrays, large puffer fish and small sharks swimming right around us. It was absolutely amazing. Once back at Carriacou they took us back to the airport.We absolutely loved our day!!!!

A perfect day!

Isle of Reefs tours is a very well-organized outfit--everything was so easy and relaxing the food is first rate. Paula, Allison and their crew took excellent care of us. They brought us over to the heavenly Sandy Island (not to be missed--a quick five-minute boat ride from Paradise Beach), supplying us with plenty of drinks and snorkeling equipment. We spent the morning snorkeling in the clear waters around Sandy Island and then they picked us up again at 1 for lunch back on Paradise beach under the shade of the mangroves. We ate incredibly fresh grilled fish with an array of delicious sides and vegetables--all of it excellent. Oh, AND the trip was included for free with the lunch! So the trip, a few drinks, and lunch came to only about 30 USD each. A steal and an absolutely perfect day.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Isle of Reefs Tours! Allison and her crew are just amazing. From the delicious meals and drinks to the fun boat trips I had one of the best experiences I could ever ask for. This was my first time in Carriacou and they made my trip memorable for all the right reasons. The crew was so welcoming and I couldn't have had a more amazing time. HIGHLY recommend Isle of Reefs!! I'll be coming back ASAP.

Great trip with excellent outfit!!

We (myself and 2 20+ yr old sons) recently visited Carriacou. Wanting a relaxing trip I only booked one thing--a Tobago Cays trip with Allison. What a fantastic excursion. Mojo picked us up on the beach at The Mermaid. We stopped at the Green Roof Inn, got a couple more folks and off we went. Fun, fun, fun! The snorkeling was great--turtles, blowfish, rays, sharks (small ones) and dozens of species of fish. Lunch was awesome on one of the islands. We also hiked a bit--to the top and down. We stopped at Happy Island on the way back for some drinks and chillin and finished our ride back loving life! Mojo and Allison do an excellent job--I highly recommend!

We couldn't spend a day away!

After going to Tobago Cays one day with Allison and crew, and Sandy Island the next, we tried to spend a day just lounging on the beach. We couldn't sit there knowing what wonderful creatures, people and food were just across the water! So we called Allison and booked another day. This is a low-maintenance, but extremely fun and friendly group of people. The boat isn't fancy, but it doesn't need to be and the trip was well within our budget and provided all the comfort we needed. Isle of Reefs will take you exactly where you want to go to see the turtles, best snorkeling and best sunsets. The food and drink was personally prepared by Allison and delicious! She is super kind and friendly, and a very fun person to get to know, as are all of her attentive crew. I will definitely call them when we travel back to this beautiful part of the Caribbean.

Incredible meal and setting

We (2 families, 10 people in total) had the great opportunity to dine with Allison at her beach restaurant on Carriacou, overlooking cove and Sandy Island. We could not have asked for a more special setting. Tables were set up for us under beautiful trees with lights strung between them. Prior to eating, we watched what had to be one of the most gorgeous sunsets imaginable. Dinner began with tasty rum punch. Allison then polled the attendees on which meal items they were most interested in eating. We began the actual meal with a delicious salad, followed by mahi-mahi, curried conch dish, ribs, chicken, crab, potatoes and plantains. Slices of moist raisin bread completed the meal. This was without a doubt, the best meal of our vacation. Food was outstanding and Allison was a fantastic host; flexible, attentive and incredibly friendly. Highly recommend eating here, you will be glad you did!
