It's a beautiful park! The campsites were clean and well kept. The staff were uncommonly nice and helpful. The mosquitos were rampant. Take your Off!

I have been going to this state park since I was a child. There have been upgrades done that are a plus. This is a great place for a weekend getaway or for a week long vacation.

Great trails, picnic areas, lake, and playground. Bathrooms needed serious attention. Overall, fun visit for the day. Don't forget to stop at Powhatan historic state park, too!

Russ, just come in and we'll register at the Visitor Center. If you come in after 5:00 just pick a site that says available and register in the morning on your way out.
