A little bijoux, you will likely have it to yourself. Worth going all the way up to the plateaux because the views from here are rather fine. Don't miss the neolithic village round the side, either.

We were unprepared for all that Petra and the related sites have to see. The magnificence can not be done justice in photos or words.

Little Petra is exactly what it is, same but simpler tombs, troglodite caves, a climb to a coffee shop with a vista but the scale is 100 times smaller and u will meet 10 people max. We enjoyed it because of the silence and its prettyness.

An interesting side trip out of Petra (15 min taxi) if you have the time but not a necessity. The restored painted ceiling is worth the trip.

We arrived via the back entrance after hiking for 3 days from the Dana Reserve and it was a very impressive way to see the first buildings from Petra and little Petra.

Little Petra is a good way to start your exploration of Petra. Small site but more accessible attractions than in Petra. Nice view at the end if you can climb the stairs.

If you have time, a visit to Little Petra it is well worthwhile as it gives you some idea of what to expect when you visit the main site of Petra, and it is free to enter. Only 20 minutes drive North of Wadi Musa, Little Petra (or Siq El Barrid, The Cold Siq), is easily accessible as you can... More

Although it is about 20min for the city, but leaving the site at sun set and coming back to Petra, you'll stop to see the mountain as well as the city lights.

Really part of the greater Petra landscape, it serves to show how big Petra was in its heyday, sadly not a lot left to see.
