To fellow travelers I wish to pass on to you in my own words my recent experience with having contacted Sami at Windows Of Jordan to assist me in a less than 24 hours notice of a 6 day/night window to visit Jordan (via entrance and exit from Israel). Sami replied to my email inquiry about assistance in setting up... More

I got goosebumps both times i saw the treasury start to appear through the siq (amazing in itself). The rest of the sight is stunning, the colours in the rocks and the engineering feats are beyond description. I absolutely loved it

Don't judge by my title. but here it is. I've seen so many photos, heard so much of it, we'll seen the movies and documentaries that I expected way more than this site offers. But, it was still a great day. We had Jordan pass with 2 day Petra visit, just in case. We started early, so we were able... More

Just amazing carved rock homes, whole town where the Nabotians lived. Gotta see this UNESCO site, most beautiful. YOU NEED GREAT WALKING SHOES or BOOTS. Its gravel gives way easily, and the nearest medical care is 4+ hours in Amman Jordan. Its red rocks and carve outs just cant be corralled in words. The Sik, treasury, tombs, all need some... More

My wife and I first visited Petra on a day trip from Egypt and after an enthralling 2 hour boat trip, followed by about the same length of time in a coach we had 3 hours to visit the city of Petra itself. Our tour round Petra was with a very knowledgable guide, but in the relatively short space of... More

This place has all kinds of interesting things going on. Theater really. There are fantastic Arabian horses, ridden and pulling carts, thundering by. Camels hang out waiting for tourist to hop on. The main attraction is nothing less than spectacular. Go early to avoid crowds, take that advice to heart, seriously as crowds make it impossible to take full advantage... More

I read about this as a child fifty years ago, and have dreamt of coming here. What I wasn't prepared for was the sheer beauty of the natural rock formations, these completely took my breath away. It really is worth reading up and looking documentaries on YouTube so you have some idea of what you are looking at, otherwise it... More

Words cannot describe when one sees the Treasury through a gap in the Siq! How our guide, Mohammed introduced us the sight caught all of us by surprise. Wear comfortable shoes and Be prepared for a long walk on cobbled roads, gravel surfaces. One can try the horses, camels and the carriages. Also, prepared to bring along packed lunches. Drop...
