We just got in the door when a very friendly employee offered to start a movie for us to watch. It was very good as it told about Arkansas, the land, water and plants. The display around the headquarters also was very good. When you see the display that showed what they had to do to clean up some of... More

I enjoyed the several trails I hiked here. It's not quite spring, so the dense woods seem a little airier before the foliage sprouts and obscures many views. Well worth the stop.

For anyone who is interested in hiking and nature this is a must. Various lengths of trails and difficulty, there are maps posted at the entrances.

We were just passing through, but the boys had us turn around and park the truck so that they could get out and take pictures.

We live adjacent to Hobbs so we try to get out there often. This shot is from the Pigeon Roost Trail. If you can get out here during the week, you often have the trails all to yourself !!

I have visited many state parks over the years. I have never seen one nicer than this one. First, the visitor's center is a work of art. There are exhibits, a meeting room and a large window along the back wall where you can watch birds and butterflies feeding in a special garden. Also, there is a modern and beautifully... More

The Hobbs, as locals call it, is a must see for anyone with an interest in the natural history of the Beaver Lake area and north west Arkansas. Wonderful visitors center, hiking, mountain biking & primitive camping.

Hobbs is one of the best destinations for those that love nature! It has different levels of levels of hiking for varying skill levels (I believe there are even some paths that are handicap accessible!). The park is set in the middle of the Ozark Mountains & during the fall, the colors of our AR personality shine in the trees!... More
