Didn't have great expectations, but this was an amazing place to visit. All the gold leaf used on the screens is amazing. The kitchen / gong interior was also very interesting. Definitely worthwhile.

Matsushima is one of the 3 Japan view, that you cannot miss. And, if you're visiting Matsushima, don't miss this Zuiganji Temple - with long history since the samurai period. It was rebuilt and opened to public again.

Large parts of this complex are being re-built after the 2011 disaster in the area when much of the temple was destroyed. diagrams show how the work is being carried out and materials used.
