Edris at African Pearl Safaris was such a pleasure to work with. I had a work trip to Uganda with a tiny window (3 days) in the middle for being a tourist--and African Pearl Safaris helped me squeeze in one of the most memorable experiences of my life! I opted for the flight from Kampala to the Bwindi region (my... More

Me and my travelling buddy arrived in Kampala and were met by our Guide Sula, he swiftly took us to our hotel for 2 nights in Kampala. Ready for our road trip he met us as arranged and off we went. Our trip for 6 days was Kampala -Queen Elizabeth NP, Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi, Bwindi to Kampala. Over the... More

We chose this travel group based on positive recommendations through trip advisor. On initial contacts, APS was very open to adjusting their itinerary to meet our requests, and provided an incredible and complete adventure through Rwanda and Uganda. All was well organized from registration on, and APS was in frequent contact, checking that everything was as expected. Sula was our... More

We booked the gorilla trekking trip as part of a four day tour with Africa Pearl Safaris. It was everything we expected and more, we cannot recommend it highly enough! The Good: The gorilla trekking itself is a must-do. There is no difference in experience here - the Ugandan Wildlife Authority (UWA) conducts all the tours and does a great... More

This company is located in Uganda which seemed perfect to plan our Ugandan trip. We were not disappointed. We had a driver/guide from APS the whole time who looked after us and was a delightful man from Uganda. The company put together a trip of a life time and even checked in with us a few times to make sure... More

[Note: This review is long overdue – I wrote it shortly after our trip, but am more than a year late in posting it. I hesitated about whether to post it now, but am doing because our experience differed somewhat from the other reviews here.] In writing this review (for our July 2013 trip), I was torn about whether to... My girlfriend and I just finished a 9 day safari with APS to see four national parks in Uganda. While we were a little apprehensive about paying money directly to an overseas tour provider, we needn't have worried as Edris took care of everything in a professional and friendly manner. From planning an itinerary to cover everything we wished to... More

We used African Pearl Safaris to book our mountain gorilla tour in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in July 2014. They were very responsive to our email correspondence prior to the trip and their staff in Entebbe did an excellent job of delivering our tracking permits, shuttling us to the airport in the early morning, and setting us up with excellent accommodation... I did the gorilla trek in Bwindi with African Pearl Safaris and had a great time. When planning the trip, Edris worked hard to accommodate my requests. The driver, Sula, was wonderful. The drive from Kampala to Bwindi goes through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Sula went out of his way to spot animals. He would then stop to explain them... More
