This is a great thing to do for enjoying nature. You can drive in your vehicle after taking a rs 400 ticket. Good for birding and the scenic beauty and quiet a the river front..you are in midst of pristine nature.
Sadly we saw clear breach of rules and non challant forest guards who give a damn. Herding of animals, peeling of tree wood..some ran away seeing us and on our accosting them. The complain to the guard choke did not elicit much response

Orchha Wildlife Sanctuary is just across the Betwa river. One can reach this by walking but if you are senior citizen or any problem in long walking, then use vehicle. Here entrance fee is charged from all the visitors. Although local staff claims that animal sighting is possible in early morning hours but during may two visits, I didn't find any animal. Still it is best place for photography of Orchha Cenotaphs with Betwa river. I recommend visitors to visit this place to catch memorable photos in morning & evening hours. Here sitting benches are available to spend sometime in nature while gazing the beauty of river & cenotaphs. Those who want to do nature walk, may also visit this place. Best time to visit is from September to March.

I tried my level best to search bird or animals but failed. It's good to capture sunrise and sunset using Chhatris but do not expect much of wildlife.

It is implied that you will see all sorts of animals here but there is not much to see. There are lots of monkeys on the way to the entrance, but inside we only saw o e peacock from a great distance.

This is a lovely little place to cycle out to after hiring a bike in town, though there is little info or maps available for it, at least not in English. Cross the bridge out of town and buy a ticket at the booth on the right just up the hill. Then carry on down the road for maybe half a mile and go through the entrance with the barrier on the left.
You just follow a dirt track along on a loop which eventually brings you back onto the same road at another checkpoint maybe anothrr half a mile along.
Like all of Orchha it is a wonderfully peaceful place to explore all on your own - I saw no one else the whole time - but there is not much wildlife as such, just a few cows and maybe some monkeys. It is a lovely place though, with views of the river and nice scenery.

Went into Orchha Wild life sanctuary but unfortunately no wild life exists there. We visited Panchmadi which is a total waste of time. Also the Auto driver took us to a tower point where one can have a good view of the River and the forest beyond. Visit only if you have nothing else to do.

Reached on January 2 2019. The entry charges for the Innova Rs.600/-. Took a round of the sanctuary. Nothing. No flora and fauna. Absolutely dry and barren. Waste. It is simply cheating in the name of Wild life.

The Orchha Sanctuary is roughly 25 kms long and 15 kms wide. This forest still has Wild Boar, Langur, Blue Bull (Nilgai), Sloth Bear and over 200 species of birds.
