Had to do a quick visit to this temple, since our driver/guide shared that this Brahma Temple was one of a kind (or maybe very few) in India. It was worth it for the experience -- the temple was not very different or very big, but it was full of many Indians from around the country making offerings, pushing and... More

Then we were told the actual Brahma symbol is the Pushkar lake which is very impressive, it is quite big and has 52 ghats around it.... More

Super busy and people pushing every which way they can. Very small temple and no pictures or shoes allowed therefore be prepared. Loved seeing all the coins left by royal family and the Ghandi family.

Fortunately cars are not allowed on the narrow streets of Pushkar as you walk to the Brahma Temple. Mind the motorbikes though. Take note of the shops along the way and people watch the hippy types with piercings and tats.

Ypu can find lot of temple of many deities but its rare to find temple of lord brahma. In hindu mythology there are 3 main deities (god) brahma , vishnu and mahesh. In Indian mythology it is beleived that lord brahma is a creator of living being and earth. A very holy place to visit.
