Unfortunately, an information of actual times is nowhere to be found. We came here to swim as good weather was predicted foolishly thinking the area is opened all year round. Well let me tell you it opens on 23rd of June and remains opened only for a couple of months. Many travelers (including ourselves) visited the place, however, swimming is not allowed. The place was packed in January so I am only guessing how busy it can be in summer time. Definitely a great place to swim with a few pools not affected by the waves. Plenty of crabs and fishes too!

We visited this December and the pools were closed for safety reasons as the tide was swelling and you would be smashed against the sharp lava rocks.
We were able to walk along the walkways and view the area which is worth seeing anyway. It would have been great to swim here in calmer times.

Closed after September 23 until spring. Don't bother visiting if your travel is off-season. Neither google maps nor their website mentioned it.

The natural pools are a lovely place to sit and people watch - several people swimming in the pools, youngsters jumping in off the high lava rocks and waves coming in from all angles!

Spectacular! Maybe not the best day to enjoy for me, cos water was not super clear, but the whole structure is definitely great! Not to be missed...

I really like this place, beautiful views, many cafes and restaurants, natural water, very beautiful color, there are disadvantages, a lot of people, but what to do, everyone wants to relax. I recommend visiting

So before coming to Tenerife I thought this place would be the only natural pools (typically called in Carribbeans "Queen's Baths") on the entire island... but the truth is there is tone of them all over the island's coastline!
What makes these unique is that they are actually in the middle of the small touristy town, next to a "small castle" (Castillo de San Miguel), nearby a big and flat free public parking lot, and with all of the stores/shops/restaurants within super short walking distance... oh and they are free and there is even a a small "flatter strip" where you can lay "as if you were you chilling on a beach" if the actual "rocky natural pools" arent your thing! The pathways are cool too and you can take a nice scenic walk - though you need to return to the main entrance either way as there is no second entrance/exit.
So come prepared, take a towel and sunscreen and enjoy this experience as if you were coming to a beach - the sung is strong when it hits you so apply the sunscreen :)
TIP: you can come here just to watch and wonder around the town but also to spend quite a chunk of your day so plan accordingly - the parking is free and unlimited time so that's one worry less - it's super closer walking distance, I have attached the pictures here so you can see which "big lot" I am talking about as its behind big walls that look like you are not allowed to cross at first :) on google maps it appears to be a soccer field but in reality it's a big parking lot that you enter right behind the "goal" from the east via another parking lot.

Stunning area of natural rock pools. Some are shallow and some very deep, so something for everyone. We were able to go in for a swim. Lots of crabs. Restaurant on site.

Visited the Piscinas Naturales El Caleton in Garachico. The pools looked lovely was only able to sneak a paddle as the tour guide was adamant that anybody wet wouldn't be allowed back on the coach

Natural rocky pools where you can take a dip in the sea waters. In winter and in bad weather they are closed but still fun to watch the waves crushing to the area.

Hola!
