The lake runs a serpentine course in three reaches with Helvellyn crowning the plateau at the head of the lake; at 3117 ft it is England’s third highest mountain. Ullswater ‘Steamers’ create the perfect opportunity to combine a cruise with some of the most famous and spectacular walks in the Lake District. Went on a cruise from Pooley bridge and back. Staff in the kiosk were friendly as were the staff in the steamer. Great views..... probably the best in the lakes especially heading down from Pooley Bridge.

An enjoyable hour spent the views were stunning. Very efficient service. You can buy your tickets in the village or at the terminals. The boat runs exactly the timetable. Does have a bar onboard which sell alcoholic drinks aswel as soft drinks

We spent 2 hours on a hot sunny day going round the lake it very pretty getting on and of the boat as many times as we wanted.

We caught the boat from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding - spending 3 hours before returning. Lovely cruise - loads of well behaved dogs. Friendly staff and a comfy boat. Highly recommended.

we parked at the glenriding pier house,and we thought it was reasonable, you could park in poolybridge but its a long walk to the pier from that end and the parking is very limited and expensive,
