The most horrible place i was. We went inside without really informe us before. The guy at the entry told us there was some art and hystory about the batu caves, so we took the tickets and went inside. they have so many animals enclosed in super small cages. we saw birds, turtles, fish, rabbits, even dogs, closed in cages in horrible conditions. one of the aquariums had more than 10 fish of different sizes where they couldn't even swim because they didn't have space. turtles enclosed in tanks. A lot of rabbits, also one of them with its hair full of dreadlocks because of how poorly cared for it was. inside in two different cages there were 3 dogs closed, one was alone. dark cages where only a ray of sunlight entered. if you like animals do not enter in this place because you will leave with a broken heart

The cave itself isn't very good but you walk past a pond that has a good view of some of the temples so you get some really good photos that you wouldn't get from the free area.

If you're at Batu Caves you might as well make the most of what else is about. With your back to Batu turn right towards the rail station. These are on your right as you walk down. Impressive inside - so much work, and so brilliantly lit. Not seen anything like this before. Cheap to get in.

Please DON’T pay for a ticket to this place. It’s obviously not worth it. If you buy a ticket you will support a place that holds reptiles and animals in a cave that do not have access to sunlight. These reptiles and animals do not have any space and they appear to not be alive. I guess a lot of them are sick or something, and can understand that because it was very dirty and the water was not clean at all. These animals deserves so much better. It was an AWFUL place and a TERRIBLE experience and I am referring to the cave with reptiles and animals, the rest was ok but definitely not worth it.

They did not allow me to take anymore photographs after this one, but there was another gecko literally belly up DEAD.

The rest of the geckos and animals were malnourished and clearly sick.

Even if you are not religious it is definitely worth the visit .Monkeys roam free and prayers are observed the whole day.Best time is early morning as could get very hot and stuffy in the cave

The cave villa and its grounds were pretty but we couldn't get past what some of the reviews had said... pertaining to animal cruelty... so we didn't go in...

I was absolutely sick when i realised that i paid 15Myr to support the most disgusting animal cruelty...

I thought I was paying to see a special part of the cave, but instead I walked to the depths of the cave to find a zoo which had reptiles, turtles, and other mammals, in the smartest filthiest cages, that have never seen a ray of the sun. I was sick. The reptiles looked sick and the raccoon was pacing with so much distress.

I engaged in a conversation with the keeper, who admitted to me that the owner of the zoo buys and trades exotic animals. He showed me photos of all types of animals, and reptiles, including Lynxes, Serval and Cheetah cubs. This guy is clearly buying from, or part of, the illegal wildlife trade!!!

When I questioned the keeper as to how the man got the animals and why he had photos with himself and endangered animals at his home, and that it was illegal, he got very nervous and harshly asked me to leave. I am trying to find out how to report this place to authorities.

Please please please don't go!!!

I would advise everybody not to fund this place. Firstly all the birds are in very small, hot cages and some look close to dying! Then it gets worse, in the reptile cave there are turtles in tiny small bowls which are being used as money fountains!? The whole bowl and the back of the turtle covered in money. DO NOT GO HERE. Disgraceful
