Our Malaysian colleagues were very gracious and took us to Batu Caves during our business trip to KL. It is free to climb up the 272 steps and walk through the caves and visit the Hindu temples. If you want to do the Dark Cave...More

Impressive statue and temple, but at least 200 steps to reach the top, good exercise for people don't used to!!! There are a dress code to enter to the temple, no short dresses or pants.

Really glad we did this but it is jammed with tourists and with monkeys! There are a lot of steps to climb but it is worth the effort - just blown away by the history and the effort it took to build this. Memorable.

Batu Cave on its own is a magnificent man made effort to please the Indian Gods. It is definitely worth a visit, as long as you are prepared to go up 272 steps and of course down, and hold it as there are big issues...More

Excellent temple in the hill top which has got steps to walk. Challenge for people with walking disability. But Hindu temple is perfect and Poojaris are excellent. Visited 4-5 times already.

There are no stairs to get to the view from the bottom and depending on how you get there will depend on the distance to the entrance. It's not very far though.

I think about 270? It can be quite slippery in the rain too.
