I don't get here as often as I like but yesterday I took my bride for a ride to this pretty seaside park. We picked up some take-out and went for a picnic. After our fuel-up we walked the easy paths past towering trees and fascinating ground cover. The area is well maintained by city staff, parking is free and plentiful and there are lots of benches/tables. A big open grass area is perfect for picnic blankets. Turn south from the town centre and you'll find it. Beautiful spot!

People who neighbour this park must be delighted to have such beauty nearby. For those who drive here it's easy to find: go west on Esquimalt Rd., turn left, after the mall, on Fraser Rd. and continue to the end and you'll see the park sign and a narrow road leading to abundant parking. There are several short trails (with secret tokens!) , tall trees, oceanside viewing, picnic benches, and a washroom. Some areas are maintained with plants and lawn trimming and other spots are wild rocky shore edge. On a sunny day, take a lunch, a friend or two and have a lovely time.

This is one of the nicest medium sized parks in the area.
The views are amazing!
There is a decent sized parking lot.
Excellent walking trails along the water and through the reclaimed natural forest.
Lots of benches in several place to enjoy the view or relax as you walk.
Several well placed picnic benches by the water and in amongst the trees.
A very popular place to take wedding photos, but call the number on the sign to book your photo shoot.

I have been going to this park multiple times per visit over the last thirty-five years and as many visits as years. It is a park with spectacular views of the Olympic Range across the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Located in the township of Esquimalt, you likely won't know it's there unless you have prior knowledge. There are gardens, forest walks and coastal walks all within the park small 14.75 acres. Benches abound for sitting and meditation - most if all donated by locals in honor of a family member. One of the benches I dedicated to my parents and I am not a local although my experiences visiting the Victoria area span sixty years! I guess it is time to share my "secret garden."

Lovely park that is well maintained. You can choose to drive directly to the park or you can walk through various trails to get to the ocean front areas. Lots of picnic benches are there, also there are public washrooms. It is also dog friendly.

Nice little vista of the mainland BC. Not a whole lot to this little park, just a beautiful look out across the ocean to BC with white tipped mountains on the far shore.

Much like Macauley point park, this point has great views of the Salish Sea an the Olympic mountains, not to mention fisgard lighthouse. There is also a path through the trees with moss covered furniture. I can never tell if the stone furniture was abandoned, or was placed and destroyed on purpose.

Saxe Point has great views of the ocean, a nice garden path to walk along, picnic tables, and lots of parking. It’s a great place to go and relax, with lots of green space for running around. It is popular for outdoor weddings, so if you’re going in the summer you may see a bride or two. And maybe a deer or two too!

If you are looking for a quiet place to sit and relax this is it. Bring a lawn chair and watch the water, birds, and boats or walk through the paths to check out the water from different view points.

Visiting Victoria with adult sibs, and friends and treated to a mid morning visit to this idyllic spot. What a gorgeous spot for a walk and to view nature around the ocean. Lots of people picnicking or sitting and reading while taking in nature. Well worth a visit for peace and quiet listening to the ocean and birds while communing with nature. Big plus, your dogs can enjoy it with you (please pick up evidence).

I would like to find out some information in relation to having a wedding ceremony at Saxe Point. Who and how would I get in contact with someone?
Written October 17, 2016
Could you let me know who to contact about having a wedding in Saxe Point.
Written October 17, 2016
I doubt that you need to ask anyone, it is a public park/space. Check with the person performing the ceremony. Possibly the Esquimalt Parks officials could answer the question with some authority, I'm guessing.
