I signed up for the three day Moose Photo Safari and the trip was awesome in every way! The food is wonderful, everyone is friendly and helpful and we received first rate photographic advice from photographer Rob Stimpson. Paddling northern Algonquin Park in a canoe is an experience not to be missed. My favourite moments happened on Sunday morning as we glided through the mist on Craig lake, encountering several moose who had come down to the water to greet us. I would highly recommend Voyageur Quest. They are terrific in every way and I had a wonderful experience.

Omygod !! I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful company and how exciting the moose photo safari was. As I am elderly ( 80 on my next birthday ) I was worried about keeping up. The staff were so kind and so helpful …someone was always there to take my arm on slippery slopes and help me into and out of canoes. I’m a world traveller and this adventure rated up there with Grizzly Bear excursions, African safaris and Polar Bears in Northern Manitoba. The food was gourmet all the way! And I think the trip was a financial bargain considering what we got! A special shout-out to John….soo glad he was on this trip! Margaret Plaxton

Had an amazing time watching the ice go out on the lake at Voyageur Quest. Arrived to clean and organized cottage. The fire was already made with extra wood laid out waiting. The French press was set out and ready for morning sunrise coffees watching the season change. The staff was great and helped me sort out which trails to hike and what time to best see moose. We did see moose! Despite being a great paddler they gave me safety warnings about staying close to shore which made us feel cared for. The staff is educated, friendly and knowledgeable Bed was comfy. Kitchen well stocked with all the equipment I needed to make some fabulous meals. This is a beautiful place in Canada and an amazing mental health break. A great place to re charge. I highly recommend waking for the sunrise and watching the loons.

Wonderful late season trip to this amazing part of Ontario. The team at Voyageur Quest, including John, Eva and Emily, made us feel very welcomed and provided lots of activity options. John personally guided us on a combo cross-country ski and snowshoeing adventure on our second day (with helpful tips for the outdoor amateurs in our group) up to a truly Group of Seven viewpoint at the top of the Tower Trail one of the Forgotten Trails near their range of rustic and cozy Chalets on Kawawaymog Lake. The adventure was really nice and tailored to our capabilities - John even pointed out some recent moose tracks we wold have surely missed and shared tons of interesting facts about the area! As enjoyable was the very tasty al fresco lunch served out on the deck overlooking the lake when we got back - homemade soup, toasties and a cold Gateway Brewery craft beer (Dark Rye Lager is excellent)! The balance of the day was spent doing a couple of other trails where the creeks were starting to melt - very peaceful hikes all to our selves. The Chalet we stayed in was perfect - we brought dinner and breakfast fixings and had all the amenities needed to be self sufficient. Thanks to Emily who took good care of us - dry wood each morning ready to get the fireplace roaring! All and all a great adventure - we will definitely come back.
