I recommend the visit especially if you didn't get the chance to see the larger museum of gold in Bogota. Museum is quite similar but just in smaller amounts. Very interesting history and beautiful pieces. Entry is free.

It's free and the staff is friendly. Worth while checking out. Our guide was very knowledgeable and brought the artwork and gold crafts to life with his words. The temperature is cool inside, the museum is well kept. My 9 year old daughter was studying Colombian culture and this visit answered a lot of her questions. I Wish they had more to see and interact with. I recommend you visit this museum.

Very nice museum, especially 2nd floor. Big, one could come back the other day… As it's difficult to digest it all in one visit. Reduced prices also for "elderly". Beware: it is crowded on sunday, and closed on monday...

It is a fairly small, professionally run museum. It consists of two medium sized salons that focus on different periods. Despite it's size, it's been really well curated. The displays are well thought out, nicely illuminated and the objects are of a very high standard. I saw a few jewellery displays there that I've not seen elsewhere. I really enjoyed my visit here. I was lucky enough to catch a tour that was given to a group of college students, which undoubtedly enriched my visit. Unfortunately, the signs are only in Spanish. If you have the time and the inclination, I think it's worth a visit. The red number one bus on Avenida Bolivar will drop you off out the front.
