We stopped to see the World's Tallest Thermometer in Baker in our way to Vegas. If you are driving through it is great place to stop and take a break. They have the cleanest bathrooms in town and their gift shop has cold drinks and...More

We were looking for some place, any place to meet my ex to do our routine custody exchange with the kids. Someplace easy to spot. Someplace close to halfway. Someplace with bathrooms that didn't have two inches of grime on the floor. I suggested the...More

What a cool sightseeing stop. And the history of the place is amazing. I'd highly recommend making a pit stop on your way to Baker and the bathrooms are super clean!

This is a drive by while on your way to something else in Baker. Don't make a special stop off. It's reportedly not working. Our car moving registered 90 and the thermometer said 99, so not sure.More

They have a gift shop but we didn't stop in. It is a actual thermometer and you can see it from I-15. We had left LasVegas and driving to LA. You can see it pretty well from the interstate but it looks like it's in...More

Well, it's a thermometer. A tall one. It's not a sight you will drive for but when it's on your route, it's worth checking out. A 5 minutes stop is enough to check the temperature and take a picture with it. The Mad Greek and...More

You would have to be a fanatic over oddball stuff to care enough to stop here. Yes, it's a tall thermometer. Big deal. The nice thing is you can see the temperature from the interstate as you're driving past. At least it's working now. For...More

I'm sorry your were not impressed! Our family has worked very hard to restore the Thermometer that my Dad originally built. You are correct that it was broken for many years, that was before my Mom was able to get it back and restore it....More

Looks pretty cool from the freeway. Up close hard to see the temp. Only a gift shop at the bottom which we didn't go into. Hard to get a photo while standing at the bottom. Something different to see so stop and enjoy, it is...More
