One of the highlights

With or without swim, walking the length of the beach with our dogs (it is leash free until 8am depending on season) each morning is always one of the highlights of our stays here.

Culburra Beach is a little lost peace of paradise, beautiful clean, friendly and an absolute delight to walk along the deserted beaches which are clean and pristine, fell in love with the place that much we are thinking of moving there for our retirement very soon. It's off the beaten treatment but that's how I like it.

If you like beaches & rock pools with a bit of a scramble, this is great. Start on the beach & walk round the headland as the terrain changes to rockpools, interesting formations & great views

At the end of the beach is Penguin head but contrary to the name, we didn’t find any penguins here but we did enjoy a good walk around the volcanic rocks which are almost entirely flat. You do need shoes as the rock has plenty of sharp edges. Clearly covered at high tides there are reasonable sized rock pools, many... More

We stayed at Escape@Culburra which is absolute beach front with amazing views - walked right from our yard onto 4kms of beautiful unspoilt Beach ! House faces north which would be fabulous in winter . Escape is down at the south end of the beach near child friendly Tilbury cove and gorgeous rock pools - definitely best end of the... More

Excellent location, amazing view and house is very well equipped. Pet friendly and off leash beach. Not lots to do, but relax and enjoy the beach and views.

Great place to stay, but very windy. Club great for dinner, and pet friendly. Would not go again, but beautiful place.

We stayed at Culburra & enjoyed the early morning walk & sunrise. Its the most beautiful part of the day. As the sun pokes his head above the horizon to say good morning, there is a feeling of relaxation & before the day has begun, you can smell the earth & all it has to offer. Beautiful

Culburra is about a half hours drive from Nowra. It has a large long sandy beach with sandhills running behind, like any NSW south coast beach really. It has two areas for swimming one at its northern end at Crookhaven Heads and one down the far end off Penguin Head Road. There is a good child friendly swimming area at... More

I did this walk in Oct 2012. I stayed at The Beach House Culburra. Woke up to see the Sunrise over the Ocean from my bed, it was just peaking above the waves. I Strolled down from the house onto the beach , very peaceful walking on the beach early morning. Time to think & enjoy life while you walk... More
