A hillside garden with meandering trails along the hillside and the sound of water, as the stream plunges through the garden. A quiet moment of solitude in the bustling city of Berkeley.

I come here all the time to relax and meditate. It is big enough that you can find a section to be alone in. Very impressive CA and international section.

The UC Berkeley Botanical Garden is really really cool, even if you don't fancy yourself to be some sort of nerdy plant lover. Cacti of all sorts, jungle stuff, plants and trees from around the world. also great hiking trails nearby

Especially for its 34 acres, this is one of the most biodiverse and beautiful gardens to hike through and explore anywhere in the world.

There are plenty of benches and...More

This extensive garden is very hilly, and even challenging on some pathways and stairs, but worth it! The labeling of the plants is good, though the self-guided seasonal brochure we got was a bit hard to follow. The water features are nice and peaceful and...More
