We saw our first concert last week at the Freight & Salvage and absolutely loved it. My husband had bought our tickets 6 months before and thought they were for reserved seats, so we arrived about 20 minutes before showtime. They turned out to be general admission, and we found most seats taken, except for tall barstools set up behind... More

No bad seats (comfortable seats too) at the Freight! I arrived a half hour early and was able to sit where I wanted. The small bar has a good selection of items, including above average baked goods. The acoustics are wonderful and the Brazilian jazz group that I heard, Sandy (vocalist) and Jeff Cressman (Santana trombonist) and friends were excellent.... More

I won't repeat all the plaudits for this wonderful venue. But a few things to know: 1) Buy tickets ahead! Shows sell out often. 2) People start lining up an hour or more before the doors open. If you can, have an online printed voucher, have someone stand in line while you wait by the doors for Will Call to... More

The Freight and Salvage has a long history of featuring the very best of live acoustic music (plenty of electric music also). They host concerts almost every night and many nationally recognized musicians got there start here. The focus and attention here on the concert experience, no noisy espresso machines, no wait staff, just awesome music! Do not miss the... More

A friend of mine treated me to a concert here. Iris DeMent along with her two accompaniment were the scheduled group to play. The Freight & Salvage venue is small maybe a hundred or so seating capacity. There is a quaint little coffee shop inside the main hall and a small stage. It's a great place to take friends and... A few days prior to departing for a recent Northern California vacation, I happened to see Bill Kirchen, Austin de Lone and Bobby Black were playing the Freight and Salvage on the first night of our trip. The F&S online ticket system was easy to use and all I had to do was have my name checked off the will... More

With a history of acoustic folk music Freight and Salvage presents both traditional acoustic music in many idioms Their choice of performers is suburb and the sound sightless and comfortable seating cannot be matched anywhere in the bay area.

Freight and Salvage has offered excellent music for many years, focusing on performers who play smaller venues. The new F&S on Addison Street offers a good open sound room with outstanding acoustics. We were there for an Old Time music day and enjoyed the performers more because of the excellent setting.

I have been here a few times for various shows and always enjoyed the venue. There is plenty of seating and the way it is laid out most all seats give a very good to good view of the stage. It's relatively small so even the seats at the back are not too far from the stage. We were here... More

Always excellent sound in this small venue. Great variety of music, very reasonable ticket prices, small surcharges. Seats are comfy too. This is always a great spot for music.
