The rain let up for a few days, so it was safe and dry to visit Indian Rock Park and climb. Exceptional views of the Bay Area. We found parking fairly easily. I have to come back with a better camera for better pictures.

Small urban park in the Berkeley hills. Accessible by public transportation. Easy to drive to. Not much street parking. Small park but enjoyable and recommended none the less.

We are a little older than the average age crowd here which is probably 25. It's a little lower in the hills and thus doesn't have the best views but it's easily accessible and it's fun to climb up on the big rock and watch...More

Indian Rock Park is nice for a quick visit to catch views of the bay and Golden Gate bridge. If it is clear, it provides a nice vista. Wasn't overly crowded on the week day we were there. Be careful on the rocks!

It has a nice view out onto the bay, and you can sit and enjoy it. This is where familys stop on an eveing walk, and cyclists in the area stop to catch their breath.

The kids will love to climb all over the rocks. Everyone will love the landscaping and peace away from the city. Just a pretty park.

This is a small park in a residential neighborhood. Great for kids to climb over huge rocks, play with each other while parents watch scared for them.

Bouldering here is really fun. There are maybe 3 v0-v1 routes which can be pretty scary if you're new to outdoor bouldering. The view at the top overlooks the bay, SF but can be covered in heavy clous which makes it barely visible. The rocks...More

Indian Rock Park is not a "must see" of Berkeley or the Bay Area but it is a nice departure from the sea of houses surrounding it. It features some very pick rock outcroppings with good grips so young kids under supervision can work their...More

Indian Rock is in the foothills of Berkeley, easy to walk to, while still placing you high enough to see the flatlands and water. Many nooks and crannies to find and settle in, as well as climbing areas. It's a natural wonder kinda place.
