I also wrote a review for the Berkeley Marina which is adjacent and in which I included a review of this park. Not to be missed. Really lovely place for a relaxed walk and visit.

The view are spectacular, the City, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge, the Bay - WOWZERS! A perfect park for the awesome kite festival!

Have a wonderful time watching all the different types. My advice is to arrive early bring a blanket and a picnic and plan on staying half a day. After lunch is crazy busy. If you plan on parking in taking a shuttle to the event...More

This park honors labor leader Cesar Chavez. It is built on landfill, so the landscape is pretty minimal, but you don't go for that, you go to look out on the skyline of San Francisco and the Golden Gate bridge, a spectacular sight.
