Winter or Summer, great weather, light traffic most times. Great place to chill in the Summer or Winter. Been skiing here for 30 years. 2 hours from most places in So Cal. Plenty of summer activities for kids all ages. Highly recommend !

This poor lake looks like it needs help. It's brown and dirty looking. There is a green mossy slime that hugs the rim of the beach that makes it look unappealing for swimming. There were lots of fish jumping though and it's still nice to...More

August is wonderful, cool at night, tons of stars...70's in the daytime. Might be a little breezy on the lake in the afternoon if you're on a boat, but good beach weather.

Take Hwy 38 up to Onyx Pass. There is plenty of parking and there is still some snow.
