Beautiful spot on the north side (non crowded) of the lake.Very friendly and helpful staff. Educational displays and the interpretative trail provide a great overview of the area. This is the place to get an overview of the activities offered and get the tickets.

If you just have a few hours, or even half a day, spend some time at the Discovery Center, talk to the Park staff (rangers) and walk around their trails and through the garden and the "mini museum" inside. It's well worth it...just the beauty...More

I still love the discovery center, and the small trail attached. Good for guided tours, kayaking, and concert tickets, plus information if needed.

Great summer night programs, interactive experiences and knowledgeable friendly staff. They have an interpretive trail. My kids learned so much from the guided hike.

The Discovery Center is a good place for children to see specimens of native animals that once roamed the area. The specimens are located inside the building itself, and there's also an outdoor kids exploration area. There's also a Trailhead for a short hike through...More

The Discovery Center is a wonderful place to take the kids! There is so much to see, activities, and a lot to learn! Definitely worth a visit when in Big Bear Lake!

They have some stuffed animals local to the region. A lot of information from the workers too! But really not a whole lot to see. It's free, so it's something to do!
