I went on the Triple Pass trail ride summer of 16. It was the best. It had been about 40 years since I had spent 6 days in the saddle, so I paid for that on the first day. Fortunately, the second day was a layover day and this allowed me to work out the kinks. I cannot say enough... More

Wow, these folks are awesome in their customer service, care of their stock (great horses and mules and well taken care of), and their wonderful wrangles (Phil, John, & Joe). Cook Anna was awesome as well as wrangler Peter (Bunyan affectionately called). I've been wanting to do this my whole life and it at almost 49 it was well worth... More

My son, granddaughter and I recently went on the 4 day 3 night pack trip from Horseshoe Meadow to Golden Trout Wilderness July 6-9. We stayed the night before in Lone Pine. The weather was as perfect as you get in the Sierras with no rain---we were prepared though. The packers and staff at Rock Creek were very professional, easy... More

I went to the station two consecutive days around June 20 th , 2016. The views are magnificent, the horses were great and well groomed. The ride was awesome and I will highly recommend it. You need to be prepared to fend off bug bites. My daughter also fainted and fell backwards to the ground right after our first day... More

Two friends and I did the 4 day horse drive from Independence, CA to Rock Creek Pack Station upper corral. 80 miles of pushing horses and mules thru the desert and up to the high country. It was a hard trip, ate a lot of dust but it was the experience of a life time. It got hot for this... More

We've been on 2 trips now with Rock Creek, and I would definitely trust them again. Most recent trip was Mustang Legacy at Pizone Springs. The staff know the country and their animals, took care of everything.

I am a backpacker, pack stations cater to the horsey crowd. Horses with their iron shod feet damage trails . Backpackers pack the dirt down again.City horses use rubber shoes to avoid slipping on paved streets. If rubber horse shoes were placed on horses in the back country, much trail damage could be averted. Lug soles for horses!! Interesting photo,... More

Just took a 2.5 hour ride with my daughter, and it was great. The staff were all friendly, especially our guide René. And the scenery beautiful. Highly recommended.

While spending a extended weekend at Rock Creek Lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. My daughter and I decided to go for a little horse back ride. Rock Creek Lake Pack Station was fantastic. The ride was 6 hours long and took us up over 10,000 ft elevation to Dorothy Lakes. Our guide Silvana was awesome, the horses did great... More

I have just returned from my second trip with Rock Creek, and it was great, just as last time. They really have this down to an art. It is so nice to be able to be in the back country without having to carry all your supplies, and being catered to with great meals, and any other needs. Being an... More
