It is hard to call City Beach the best beach in the Perth area as they are all so good. However, what is a stand out for City Beach are the amenities. Restaurants, cafes, changing rooms and showers. During the Summer the beach is patrolled by volunteers from the City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club. The beach can get... More

There are a lot of beaches in the area and so bit of competition as to the best - which this is in my humble opinion. There's plenty of parking unless really busy, wide sandy beach areas, life guards on duty, cafes, revamped front area, plus restrooms and beach showers. It was a bit windy when we visited and the... We live in East Perth and this is my favourite beach that we go to probably 7 times out of 10. It is a great beach for all the family. My wife does mot really head into the sea, so the surf is an attraction for me. It is dumping surf, but on a good day you can get a... More

There are many good beaches throughout Australia and many in Perth in particular but this is my favourite. Stunning white sand and blue sea accompanied by cafes and restaurants make this a great destination. There is plenty of parking and the landscaped gardens make the place look beautiful. Well worth a visit.

The beach was narrow and steep to the water. The waves were not good for body surfing, as they would break up and reform coming in to shore. Once out from the shoreline, the beach flattened out, but we were there at low tide, and the beach was too steep to comfortably go walking along.

Great place to watch a sunset, squeaky white sand, many mars and cafes/restaurants in the new development or just sit on the sand and grass.

This beach is safe, large, plenty of sand and there is also some beach volley ball which takes place you can get involved in. This is my choice of beach, living in perth, but closer to other beaches, but i tend to drive here. Easy to park, places for a drink after your swim, and eat. Love it!

Excellent beach side spot for enjoying the sunset or sea views close to Floreat. Choice of four restaurants plus kiosk. Great place for a picnic as well. Accessible for wheelchairs or pushchairs, somewhere where you can relax and watch over the beach area or lay on the beach and swim, the Surf Life Savers are on hand, although at times... More

City Beach is a nice place to visit. Great sand - pretty clean and neat. Good restaurants nearby and good parking possibilities. Not much to complain about if the weather is good.
