We asked in Bodega Bay where the house was that was used in "The Birds" We were given the route to find it. Not too many people around but the place was locked up and you had no access. But you could photo the outside...More

We stopped while in Bodega, and snapped a couple of photos. The school is a private home, and tours are not available, but the exterior is in good shape, looking just as it did in the film.

We are huge Alfred Hitchcock fans. We had to go to the the school house used during filming if The Birds. They were not giving tours the day we were, but we got some really good pictures.

We just stopped and took pictures as it is a private residence now. Great to see to help with the movie The Birds. Pictured it in my mind as being closer to the water due to the movie. A very interesting building.

Always wanted to see this building as it was in the movie The Birds. A little town of Bodega surrounds it! Nice little shops. It is right behind a beautiful little church.

The property was bought and renovated by a private owner and cannot be visited. It was fun however seeing the house and recalling the scenes from "the birds". This can be combined with a visit to St Teresa de Avila church which next to the...More

This has been a favorite stop when going to Bodega. The Schoolhouse looks deserted and no visiting hours are posted. We were disappointed. Keep checking web site to see if something changes. Site is worth visiing if you are are HItchcock fan.

Felt like Chevy Chase at the Grand Canyon. Drove up, got out of the car, took a picture, and drove off. Off the bucket list. Nice to say we did it. If this is the only reason to go to Bodega bay you'll be disappointed....More

I don't know if ownership has changed but what I read was it is a private residence so it is not open to the public.
