We visited Borrego Springs during the super bloom. We (parents) really enjoyed taking pictures of all of the desert flowers, but the kids were less than impressed. They did, however, enjoy all of the metal art placed throughout the desert! It was like a scavenger hunt trying to find all the sculptures and the kids liked driving on the dirt... More

I will have to go again. I saw the bird and the sculptures after that, but somehow I did not see the dragon! Go now, there is still plenty of color and it is a great day to be in this park. Also visit the studio on HWY 77 in Aguanga. Amazing and I was lucky to meet the artist... More

These are on the other side of the town of Borrego Springs. I had never been to the area before and did not even know they were there. They are on each side of the road and you can drive right up to them on either side. There are dozens of them. I have never seen this many metal sculptures in... More

A gentlemen made all of these; there are several of them but the dragon here is the most impressive and the largest. It starts on one side of the road and ends on the other side. It is quite a draw. The best way to reach it is to go to Borrego Springs and then take Borrego Springs Road and... More

To see all of the sculptures requires driving along the road, but it is worth the effort. They are unlike anything I have seen before. Free.

We drove to Borrego Springs to see all the wildflowers which were very nice. However, the art created by Ricardo Brecedo was amazing. There are about a dozen of these statuesscattered about in Galleta Meadows and they are all worth stopping for. Anyone can drive up to them and take pictures. It was the highlight of our trip.

I only learned about these amazing works of art after I had booked Borrego Springs Lodge. (a super place, btw). Everyone is able to simply drive around the sculptures to get the best view...with or without other tourists in the picture. It is rather an unreal experience to be touring around, in your car, off-piste to view them - and... More

These sculptures are worth taking the trip to see! Combined with the wildflowers all in bloom, it was a great day to visit the desert near Borrego Springs. I didn't know these existed, but couldn't miss the first group driving along Borrego Springs Road East, then I was pleased to see many more and stopped to take photos and selfies.... More

almost beyond one's imagination to find this fabulous artistry in the middle of a desert next to a town of 3,000 people. They just get bigger and better with each new addition.

We heard something about sculptures along the road from Borrego Springs but were truly surprised at how amazing and widespread they are. Bigger than life statues of all kinds of animals and reptiles and even a dragon that spans the road! We loved them all and joined many others in taking pictures.
