Butterfly World ZOO hosts exotic, free flying butterflies. We are also a sanctuary for over 600 exotic animals, such as antelope, iguanas, monkeys, snakes, spiders and much more. Many of our animals roam freely in the gardens. We also offer a skeleton park, tea garden, craft-centre and edu-centre.

There were hardly any butterflies when we visited. The kids spent about one hour watching the rest of the zoo which is small but okay.

We expected to see butterflies at Butterfly World. We saw four, and it was probably the same butterfly doing the rounds. Not worth R80 per ticket.

Right off the highway, this place was a great stop off for kiddies to stretch their legs and run around before heading to a wine farm for lunch. Look out for the yellow python!
