Like its more famous Yellowstone counterpart, this Napa Valley geyser erupts at regular intervals - every forty minutes, in the case of the Calistoga gusher.

Took my visiting relatives from out of town. The staff was polite and had a motorized chair for my Aunt. The rest rooms are outhouses and the gyser was weak, not at all like the one in yellowstone. The grounds are beautiful and have beautiful...More

I realize this is dumb, but people in my party though it was "the old faithful" so kind a disappointment for them. It is what it is though

Visited with the family in July, 2017. I have been to this facility back in the mid 1990's and there have been many improvements to the site since then, such as a petting zoo, gift shop, picnic area and bocci ball courts and geological explanations...More

Despite being an unique site (or only 1 of 3 geysers in the world), this spot is quite laid back and NOT laden with tourists. In fact on the hot mid-day that we were there, we didn't encounter any guests until we were leaving after...More

It's a Geyser which has been glorified into a visitors attraction which was very highly priced to see the water spurt out of the ground. ($15 for adults) Admittedly it was firing off very frequently when we're were there nearly every 5-10 mins, and this...More

$15.00 each to see this pathetic little stream of water. The "geology" museum a joke and the barnyard animals looked even more bored than we were. Some nice shaded seating areas would be good for a picnic if not for the steep price of admission.

We came across this site be fluke. While driving the back roads of Calistoga we came across a very strong smell of sulfur. After rounding a bend we noticed the sign for Old Faithful and decided to visit. A small fee gets you into the...More

Avoid this if at all possible. The geyser is pathetic, and not worth $30 for two people. The (portable) toilets are disgusting - there is a notice saying that the restrooms have been burned down. For what they charge (and the amount they must make...More

Geyser went off every 5 minutes when we went which is good as guide book said every 40. Waiting 40 would've been a disappointing wait as some spurts lasted seconds some 3 or 4 minutes. Geyser impressive and they had comfortable seats nearby but all...More

When traveling with children/teens, you need to consider their tastes in entertainment. Napa Valley is geared toward adults. The Wine Train is fun for adults; but, children may not appreciate the Calif. food/wine served... More
