Like its more famous Yellowstone counterpart, this Napa Valley geyser erupts at regular intervals - every forty minutes, in the case of the Calistoga gusher.

Visiting Calistoga and was curious about actually seeing a geyser. So we arrive to and pay the $15 expensive fee(x4) and walk in to find a petting zoo and a geyser(back to that later). This is not a big place so you will walk around...More

The geyser and geology of the area is interesting. There is a small museum that is very informative on various geological extremes such as volcanoes and tsunamis. There are covered areas for viewing the geyser and relaxing or enjoying food/drink. They also have some sheep...More

We found this a lovely place though a bit spendy. The grounds are kept up beautifully and are clean. The only draw back is the Buck toilets that needed emptied or replaced as they smelled horribly. The geyser was very cooperative by going off every...More

The geyser erupted every 5-7 minutes shootin water 20 feet up. There is no bathroom facility only a disgusting portable unit.A sign says "do not drink the water". Childrens games, goats, sheep and a beautiful view are the plusses.

We stopped by in hopes to see some fainting goats - they are here! But we were surprised that the scenery and atmosphere had been recently re-done. They have plans to add a farm-to-table restaurant and offer many great spots for families to spend the...More

There are 3 of these in the world. New Zealand, Wyoming and here. Predictable and on time....it is earth at work spewing her built- up steam. A tad expensive and out of the way, but to see Mother Earth at work, well, not much more...More
