It's been three years, but luckily some things never change. The Smith family is still making great wine and sharing it in their clean, casual, and relaxing tasting room in downtown Calistoga. My wife and I enjoyed catching up with T'Anne and chatting with others while enjoying their exceptional wine. Their Pinot and Cab rank right up there with the... More

Taste some of the best Pinot noir and Cabernet wines in Napa. Guided by the super friendly and down to earth T'Anne or Lisa. They actually make the wines so their descriptions are wonderful and telling, not at a vineyard though so do not expect the scenery but a lovely shop on the main strip in Calistoga, definitely worth the... We loved this wine and our server. She had great suggestions. Tasting fee was $20. We bought a bottle, but it didn't wave the fee at all-that always disappoints me, but noticed nowhere in Calistoga seemed to do that. The Cabernet was especially nice. Would visit again.

Fate was on our side as my wife and I stumbled across this little gem on Main Street and experienced one of the best wine tastings of our lives. Staying at the nearby Trailside Inn, it was recommended that we try some of the tasting stores in Calistoga. We were searching left and right as we walked past the historic... More

We have been to Napa many times for many years so continue to look for things to add to the experience. Never been to WH Smith or had their wines before. Our loss!! We read about the Wine Sensory Experience so that was the motivator. T'Anne Butcher, daughter in the Smith family, was a Valley gem. She has a cool... More

We dropped into this shop on the main street thinking it was just another shop to excape the rain. Great surpres. Lots of nice little wine gadgets. But the wine sampling was a pleasant experience to say the least. I had the Cabernt Savignon. It had all the elements of a very good Cab. The lady looking after us was... More

The family member provided five small containers with common odors which we sniffed and were asked if we could identify the odor. We then tasted a wine from the tasting bar and to try to identify the odors in that wine. A learning experience! They offer a course the "Wine Sensory Experience" which we didn't have time for.
