History at it 's best

This is a non-profit aviation museum. I have no doubt if you would like a tour of the facility, the docent volunteering would oblige. Small donation requested.

The WW-2 Aviation Museum in Camarillo is an absolute must for any aviation or WW-2 enthusiast. I visited in July 2016 and paid the $10 entry fee and managed to hook up for a guided tour with a very knowledgeable and pleasant guide called James. He walked me around the outside exhibits and told me about the various planes and... More

Don was a great tour guide. They have many planes with some you can enter. Cost is very reasonable at $10 for adults. They are also additional artifacts on display. Great history lesson for kids and adults.

Definitely worth a few hours if you are interested in historic aircraft. Their are operable aircraft and several being refit at the facility.

see a number of used WWII planes - some now still in action. Get a tour from the knowledgeable volunteers there. Other interesting things re WWII too.

Loved my visit to the museum. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge. The exhibition is expansive. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

The day we were there they had about 10 aircraft on display outside and 5 in the maintenance hanger. I think their goal here is to have all the planes operational so not as many on static display as most places. Probably the plane highlight is a c46 commando that you can enter and walk around. They also had an... More

This is a wonderful, large, museum with a great selection of vintage planes, artifacts, photos etc. The docents are knowledgeable and unobtrusive. My grandchildren loved climbing in a few of the planes on the tarmac and playing with the controls. It is an entertaining and educational place. Would re-visit.

There aren't many place one can go these days to see WWII era aircraft in flying shape. To see and hear these great craft will certainly give anyone who wasn't around during the war a much better understanding and appreciation for the bravery and fortitude of the men and women who flew, flew in and maintained these beasts. Beyond the... More
