One of the most relaxing, gorgeous, serene, extremely beautiful places in California. I also enjoyed Morro Bay, Half Moon Bay and the Bay area. I have lived in California for many, many, many years and have worked in San Luis as well. perfection :)

Peaceful and room to explore. The tidepools were a blast and the area was surprisingly clean considering how many people were visiting.

The cove of Leffingwell Landing gives the onlooker a breathtaking view of the town of Cambria to the left and to the right, the majesty of the norther coast and beyond to Big Sur. This is a delightful park with access to the sand below, tide-pools on the rocks and a spectacular panoramic view of the land and the sea.... More

Picnic area available. Kids had a lot of fun. I don't think it's good for very young kids as you do have to go on different rocks.

Waves crashing over rocks, ocean breezes, close parking and easy access to tidepools, poster information on local wildlife, great viewpoint up and down the coast at Cambria, great spot to watch the sunset (either from a bench or your car), possible dolphin and whale sightings, picnic area and restrooms, friendly wildlife (squirrels and seagulls). I bring with me unsalted peanuts... More

Very dramatic view, the surf coming in made an impressive sound, nature at it's best for my taste. The scent of the ocean was a treat!

We walked northward along the boardwalk at Moonstone Beach and into this portion of San Simeon State Park without knowing what we'd find. What we found were spectacular views, access to tide pools, some pleasant trails to walk, and a great place for a picnic. Amazingly, even on a Saturday and a Sunday, it was not crowded. There is one... More

Went for an early morning walk nod the view is amazing. If you look close enough you will see the sea otters playing. Pelicans overhead and a variety of birds. It was a very still morning with blue sky's all around . Couldn't ask for anything better

At the north end of Moonstone Beach is Leffingwell Landing. Numerous tide pools. Great place to breathe in the fresh air. Was a wonderfully foggy morning when we visited.
