- TonciCroatia45 contributionsThis is the most beautiful airport building we have ever seenAs soon as we landed in Paro, we were amazed by the airport building. Even then, we realized that all the modern buildings have elements of the traditional architecture. It's nice when you experience something like this as soon as you arrive to Bhutan. The Paro airport is said to be one of the most demanding to land in the world. Yes, that's true, because we've convinced ourselves of it. At this view point, we saw a plane taking off. It was a beautiful scene. On the other hand, we were sad because our fairytale journey through Bhutan was coming to an end.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten March 20, 2024

- swarnaprabha kBhubaneswar, India2,209 contributionsDifficult yet beautifulIt is said to be one of the most difficult airstrips to land, so not so many pilots are qualified to do the job. But it is also the most beautiful airport to view from above. Everybody who once visited the point will definitely agree with me. It looked like a miniature model accurately crafted out to its optimum.Visited May 2024Travelled with friendsWritten September 10, 2024

Even though acknowledged as one of the most dangerous airports in the world, it really requires very seasoned and certified pilots to make the experience a positive wonder. Our landing and subsequent departure were on perfect weather days with maximum visibility. This hidden valley will linger in my memory for years to come...

Paro airport in Bhutan must be the most beautiful in the world. The terminal, baggage carousels and check-in counters have distinctive touches and the staff are cheerful and helpful. The terminal is a charming gateway to a magical kingdom.

Best place to stop to see the flight landing and takeoff.
Is on the top hill, so people should extra take care.

We stay on the hill overlooking the airport. But this viewpoint offers the best view of the whole airport. A nice place to see airplanes take off and landing in the early morning or the afternoon.

Paro International airport which is supposed to be the 6th most dangerous airports in the world is a must place to get in to. The airport may be a small one but it provides all the amenities of an international airport.

Was warned that the flight can be a little hairy and at present only 6 pilots are qualified to fly in from Delhi. The plane weaves in and out of the valleys turning to the left and then to the right and finally lands. As you step out of the plane you are confronted with this fantastic view of the airport buildings. The clearance inside was very swift and easy.Your Visa is stored on the computer rather than have to manually put in as in Delhi.
