Before coming to Niseko, I was told the powder was amazing. In the first few days of my stay, there was snow but nothing amazing. The last few days it has poured down with snow and has created mountain-top powder that is absolutely incredible! I have skiied around the world and can easily say this is the best powder I... More

Good variety of runs. A couple of improvements would be good though. The runs are not very clearly marked. Maps are plentiful but a few more signs would be helpful. Also, there are a few places where a 'magic carpet' or some other sort of helper would be great. For instance, At the top of the Niseko Gondola if you... More

Great place to come and snowboard, and even though the snow was not a record breaker, there was plenty and is usually guaranteed. Check dates with Chinese New Year as it is very very busy during that week. Not just the resort, but the airports, and buses

From what I understand Niseko Village consists of both the Green Leaf and the Hilton ski fields si my review is based on this assumption. Also my level of snow boarding is beginner / low intermediate. Hilton ski fields, this area is very good for beginners and families but lacks an area for progression and improving your beginner skills if... More

The Niseko village resort is ideal for beginners and small children. The lack of chair lifts with the country chairlift being closed makes it a bit of a one run mountain. We did enjoy the run down at the day enormously and access to the main ski area if Hirafu is very straightforward

We recently spent 2 weeks skiing at Niseko. The snow was fantastic and if it is powder you are chasing then this resort is worth investigation. If you are chasing ski in/ski out then this may not be the place for you. From most parts of the village you will need to catch buses which can become a pain. Also,... More

Mixed feeling: the snow was great-- so powdery even days after the fall. But lifts did not work on upper part of the mountain. And the whole resort is so not Japanese...

Plenty of varied runs suiting beginner right through to expert. Good lifts and plenty of places to eat at base.

Mt Niseko An'nupuri hosts 4 different resorts / ski operations - Annapuri, Niseko, Hirafu & Hanazono. The Green Leaf hotel and newer Hilton with the adjoining village complex of shops and restaurants is on the far left (looking at the map), Hirafu is really the main village area with the most places to shop and eat, and then Hanazono is... Have always had the best ski at Niseko Ski Resort. It has been a lot busier in the last few visits, I guess that the secret is out. Great runs efficient chairlifts/gondolas. Very skiable areas, family friendly and not difficult at all. For a challenge try the Hanazono Powder Guides. I found the Hanazono area less crowded and fun.
